We'd first sailed with Princess Cruises on SUN, our first American style cruise, and were very impressed. After sampling other lines in the meantime Princess now just seem standard, good....but not marvellous.
Check in at Seattle for our 7 night Alaska cruise was slick & quick. Our cabin , an II grade, was very roomy & in a good position, just one deck down from the pools & Horizon Court buffet.

Down sides........the area where you selected your food in the Horizon Court buffet was really small & congested, there wasn't the variety we'd normally expect either. Coffees after dinner ie : espresso, capuccino etc, other than standard, had a charge.......Carnival include them. The ship is big & the layout of it takes about a week to get used to.

Up sides........the entertainment was good, staff were brilliant & the itinerary - Ketchikan,Juneau,Tracy Arm,Skagway & Victoria was wonderful.
