This was our first cruise, and first trip to Australia, we fly to Sydney where we apens 3 nights at the four seasons in Sydney Harbour, we were a bit dissapointed that we did not have a view of the harbour itself or the ship when it arrived and also that our flight landed around 6am but we could not check in until late afternoon but none the less the hotel was nice and we enjoyed the time we had in Sydney. The ship arrived and keen to board we started queing aroung 11am although officially boarding was to start around 2pm, we were onboard within an hour which gave us time to check out the ship before everyone else boarded. Our cabin (B424-midship on baja deck, and outside with balcony) was lovely, it was not overlooked and as we discovered later on in the cruise also high enough up to stay dry from any spray. We had a amooth crossing of the Tasman Sea (which we were told was lucky) and thoroughly enjoyed our ports in New Zealand-particularly Fjordland where we enjoyed breakfast looking out of our patio doors (keeping warm) with the fantastic views of Milford Sound. We headed north then where it warmed up somewhat and then arrived in fiji, this was a little dissapointed but I think we maybe were on the worng part of the island and if we had gone on one of the organised excursions we may hade seen a nicer side of the island. The other pacific islands we stopped out were fantastic but also may be adviseable to research were the ship docks and take taxis if possible to more attractive parts of the islands. The ship was large enough to not get bored on for such a long cruise, there was plenty going on and plenty of sun to soak up on the few days it took to get between the islands. We thoroughly enjoyed our cruise and would go again. One slight niggle would be that travelling on a cruise being 22 and 31 years of age caused some confusion with us getting confused with the staff which only really annoyed us too much when they were trying to make us board with the staff and not the other guests!!! We would have no complains with princess as all and would definately cruise with them again.
