As we love cruising so much we decided to marry at sea. The cruise that we chose was from Manaus in Brazil to Miami. We cruised along the Amazon river and then north to Miami. The itinery was fabulous, but I wish I could say the same for the weather as we had really heavy rain at times but when you are in the middle of the rain forest what more could you expect. We chose the first day at sea for the ceremony and were actually married 12 minutes north of the equator. The ceremony took place indoors as the wasther was so hot. The room was decorated with columns decked with candles and flowers and we stood beneath an arch festooned with white net. Princess cruise line ensured that everything was really well organised and everything went without a hitch. The ships photographer took the photo's which we are over the moon with, we didn't think that we could look so good. The whole cruise was fabulous, each port being completely different from the rest. We have another 2 cruises booked which we are really looking forward to. Sheila & David.

Hello we are considering this cruise for christmas / new year 2009 - how were your flights to Manaus - was it a charter all the way or direct to Miami then charter. could you have gone to Manaus a few days early and explored the region.
