I travelled with my husband and two teenage boys on this wonderful cruise, we have cruised before but not with princess. We found the entertainment on the cruise poor. The children were going to the kids clubs every day only to be told there was not enough of them to do the activities that were planned for the day, so they just sat around most of the time. We found kelvin very funny, but mostly at the expense of the Americans. Not much fun around the pool.
The food was great and the waiting staff worked very hard to make your time with them special.
The Cabin steward work hard to keep everywhere clean and pleasant for us.
The ship was mainly clean and tidy the horizon restaurant was rough ( we were told the ship was going into dry dock shortly after our cruise to have the restaurant done up)
It was a lovely cruise we did have lots of fun, with fantastic destinations. We were told it was an older person's cruise (when we were on the ship) but the kids clubs were advertised so did expect the kids to have lots to do.
Princess I feel is expensive with the tipping for all members of your family including your children and the 15% on all drinks.
We also left our baggage outside the cabin for collection when we disembarked. When we went to collect it one of our bags had been stolen, princess were not helpful at the port or when we got home to the uk, they said it was our fault and it does tell you in the cruise planner they are not reponsible for your luggage ( SO DONT LEAVE YOUR LUGGAGE OUTSIDE YOUR CABIN AS IT IS NOT INSURED) and princess will not offer any help.
