Another excellent Princess cruise (our 3rd). The Grand Princess was the largest ship we have been on, but it was very easy to find our way round and there was very little queueing for food or for getting on & off.
The British Isles itinerary was superb and we visited many places we would like to go back to for longer - Cobh and Edinburgh were the highlights and the Inverclyde Tourist Volunteer Group made our visit to Greenock memorable.
Princess even brought on board 3 local 'folkloric' groups in Ireland & Scotland who all provided authentic & very enjoyable entertainment. The cruise director and his staff were all good fun, the production shows & guest artists were all of a very high standard. We were particularly impressed by the information provided by Jan, the onboard port expert and unlike other cruises we have been on good bus & train information was provided for passengers not on the ship's tours!
All in all this was one of our best cruises yet!

We did this cruise last year on the GP it was great - (except for the weather at times ) - Pity that Princess missed out Kirkwall , Orkney islands for you this time - that was one of the best - Skara brae - older than the pyramids!!! Living close to Edinburgh ourselves, we decided not to go ashore - we had the run of the ship!! ( except for some travel Agents on Freebees ). This cruise is easy to do most of the stops on your own using public transport or taxis. PS yes you should come back to Edinburgh - but you will need at least a long weekend to the main things. In fact you'll probably end up doing more touristy things than I've ever done - mmmmmmmmmm that reminds me I must take an open top bus tour next time I'm in Edinburgh. Oh and Princess, the famous street in Edinburgh is NOT Princess Street as you would like to think, nor is it Prince's, it's Princes Street ( as in Plural ). PS Grand Princess is a great ship - much better than Queen Mary 2 and the Americans are not as "stuck up" as a lot of Brits were on Cunard!
