The Princess crew were mostly really helpfull with the exception of a few I will mention later.
The Golden Princess was a very large and beautiful ship and the pools were very beautiful too.
We only had an inside Cabin, but it was perfect for what we wanted, but after visiting the balcony cabins from a few friends we made, we have decided we shall have one of those in the future.
The food was so lovely that you just cant say no to any of it. plentiful and quite alot of choice.
The ports we went to were spectacular and we were lucky with the weather as it only rained a few times and the sun was out for the biggest part of the cruise. even though it can still be cold up on deck. not really sun bathing weather in june but we still used the outside pools and hot tubs....now the hot tubs.. well they were nice to sit in but most of them didnt actually work, they were only luke warm and no bubbles. but seeing as we only had a shower in our room. it was nice to sit in the hot tub for half an hour and just lay there and relax with friends.
The entertainment on board was very good and there was something different every night. so no complaints there what so ever.
The sailing was very smooth apart from one night which was slightly rocky but it just added to the atmosphere and made a few laughs.
Breakfast and dinner times in the lido cafe were abit busy and you always had to share a table with other guests which In my opinion is very good as you get to meet loads of different people and gain loads of interesting views from there past cruises.
There were quite a few do it yourself laundrey rooms, which is a great idea if you are on a bit of a budget and need to get things clean, so well done to princess for that. they were never that busy and there were plenty of machines and irons etc to go around.
The only downside I have on this cruise was that our waiteress in the evenings was a bit moody and let it show often. she tried to be polite but you could see it in her face she was not happy, and her eyes often went into the air if you asked her for something. which I found quite rude. and the other person was the girl who took the professional photos. one evening we were just messing about taking photos of each other and our friends had there photo took by her and i stood behind here and took one on my little camera and she snatched it away from me and made me delete it in front of her which i thought was so petty. I mean i only had a little digital which wouldnt have taken anywhere near as good a photo as she took but she still got cross and i couldnt believe her actions. the way she snatched it off me and scratched my hand with her nails. and she never even oppologized. needless to say we never bought any of the photos out of pure principal. which we always do when we cruise, so they lost out there. and beside there were plenty of other beautiful places to take photos on the ship.
All in all we had a fantastic time and we would sail with princess again in the near future, they looked after you well and the talks and shows they had were all very interesting.
The spa was also good although we didnt get time to use much of it,. but I would recommend it for a nice relax. just to be pampered and the girls were all very good at what they did.
The sauna's and steam rooms were free and a wonderfull chance to just sit and chat with friends and you feel really clean afterwards.
Fantastic holiday by all
