A GOLDEN PRINCESS crew member, trying to assist us among the huge, confused, tired and bothered would-be passangers queing to board, whispered that "Cunard does it much better!"How true ,as i also sailed on QE2 form the same port. But was i bov'ered? Once onboard things were first rate from the service in the cabin -though the inboard cabin was smaller than i expected-to the dinning room staff;on one morning the two of us had 3 stewards caring for us,to the very over worked reception staff, right up to the ice cream guy and the pizza girl ,and the young woman offering a neck massage on deck...frankly we didnt meet any crew member that caused us concern. The entertainment was a nightly joy,the comedian keen, and the dancers and muscians top rate.Getting off the ship in port ran very smoothly for the amount of peoples going ashore. We stayed on the ship in two ports and mdae use of the internet, libarery, pools and the less crowded shu loungers.
The resturant food menu, quality, and service was as good as any four star establishment ashore. As always the excersions were wildy expensive but in some ports we walked ashore to all the sights worth seeing. The size, beauty and granduer of the Princess is simply awe inspiring.. WIll happily sail with Princess Cruises again,as and when.
