flight from manchester 5.20 am left in a holding pen in venice for 3 hours,no tea or coffee just water in paper cups.found most of the staff surley and rude apart from the boys in adagios bar who were fantastic.The food was ok,the horizon cafe was like a scrum down,it was like butlins at sea,we have done 16 cruises most with princess,and the standard on this ship was abismal.on the whole we found it a unhappy ship and think the tipping has a lot to do with it.We opted out of this as we wanted to tip who we thought deserved it.The best part of the ship is the sanctury by far, but you do pay a extra $20 per day but worth every penny to escape the over crowded pools and decks.and the all day movies blasting out over the pool.Princess neaver again.

I think the person or persons who wrote this need to have a personality transplant we was on this ship and every thing about it was perfect we met a number of people who all said the same thing how great it was, i suggest this person or person stay at home in future and have a boring holiday only what they deserve well pleased travellers from manchester

Comment seems as inappropriate as the grammar and spelling! We had a wonderful holiday on the Emerald Princess in July 2008 with attentive and friendly service. We find that if we approach staff in a friendly and courteous manner they are anxious to please. This was a busy ship with 700 children on board so some pool areas were noisy. There were 2 adult-only pools and other areas where peace reigned! There were plenty dining venues with no queues! Gratuities are a long established part of cruising. We thoroughly recommend Princess Cruises.

are you friends with this mcrae or something , your always sticking up for her ! I'm sure mcrae does not mind people having there own opinion on what she has written. I don't agree with the jeffrey person picking on someones spelling that's not right . But why is it always you has got something to say about it !

We travelled on the Emerald over Easter as part of a party of 8 to the Carribean. Luckly we never experienced any of the problems you encountered. Even though it was school holidays the ship never seemed over crowded and you could always find a spot in the sun. If you didnt want to watch movies under the stars there were plenty of other areas to sit. Yes agree the santuary was fab. The staff were fab, new staff must have been on when you travelled. We have booked again for 09.
