having just completed a cruise to Hawaii we found the ship up to Princess's usual standards, shiny but not glitzy. Large ship but does not feel crowded even when fully occupied. We had a balcony cabin which was supposedly able to accomodate 3 adults but in real terms only suitable for two Although there is a pullman type bed this is situated in a very awkward place where anyone arising during the night could very easily walk straight into it and suffer an almighty headache or damaged face. Our 3rd person (very tall and well built) slept on a rollaway bed which really restricted any movement around the cabin to such a degree it was most uncomfortable. The intention was that this rollaway would be sited in the cabin all of the time this of course would be very unsightly and make it awkward to move around. It was only after heated discussions that this was removed during the day. To add insult the rollaway springs were broken and apparently this bed was the only one available! A solution was offered in the form of a sheet of plywood supporting the mattress Fortunately for us someone had to leave the ship in an emergency and we were transferred to a much larger cabin but this only happened on the 7th night. Other to this the cruise was very enjoyable,We had anytime dining-pleasurable experience, good ambience, very attentive serving staff.Must be said food in general was not up to what we had enjoyed on previous cruises(not only our opinion)
The ports of call excellent, the islands hard to describe.Ship shore excursions expensive-much cheaper bought on land. Entertainment on board varied but overall acceptable.
